My Forever are a rock/pop band based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire UK. Consisting of Dave, Twiggy, Matt, Seb & Ben.
My Forever - critically acclaimed North Yorkshire rock/pop five-piece and winners of the 2011 Rock Music Crown as “the hottest unsigned act within the rock music genre in the UK and Ireland”, were founded in October 2009 and formed as a full band in June 2010. The band is based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire and consists of Dave Ingham (Vocals, Guitar), Daniel 'Twiggy' Twohig (Bass/Vocals), Mathew Ainsworth (Keyboards), Ben Watson (Drums), Sebastian Santabarbara (Guitar). The current line up was finalised in January 2012.
My Forever have a number of successes to their name, their debut single “Silken Butterflies” was named BBC Radio 1's Record Of The Week in August 2010, their second single "Always A Stranger" was also named "Record Of The Week" on UK based station 'Amazing Radio'. The band have played the Leeds and Reading festival on the BBC Introducing stage and have extensive gigging experience playing at venues and festivals across the country. My Forever have also appeared on national TV on BBC 2, BBC THREE & BBC HD, had music featured on BBC TV Series “The Cut”, been number 1 in the Roadrunner Records rock chart, been number 1 in the Reverbnation chart for over 12 months. My Forever also set a record for being the first unsigned band EVER to open the Radio 1 review show. All this success followed the release of their debut EP “Silhouettes & Paper Birds” which was released on the 6th July 2010. The EP received critical acclaim with constant 5 star ratings and rave reviews. iTunes even featured the EP on the “Rock” genre front page which was quite an achievement for an unsigned band. In August 2011 they were also named the Rock Music Crown Winners. Rock Music Crown is an annual online music award presented to the hottest unsigned act within the rock music genre in the UK and Ireland.
My Forever have also been featured on the Japanese label “Kick Rock Invasion” compilation CD along with bands like “We The Kings”,” Mayday Parade”, “Artist Vs Poet” and many more. They have shared the stage with acts such as Tinchy Stryder, Example, You and What Army, Aggro Santos, The Hoosiers and many more.
The band maintains a strong online presence through their official website and Facebook, You Tube, Twitter and My Space. They have used this to build up a growing army of fans across the UK and the world. A fan favourite is their weekly video blog called “My Forever Friday”.
The band are currently finishing up their follow up to “Silhouettes and Paper Birds” and expect to release this soon followed by extensive gigging to support the record and build on their fan base.
